Purpose

A cove is defined as a small sheltered bay which provides a safe sanctuary. Just so, The Cove Therapy Services LLC’s purpose is to be synonymous for a facility where families of children with special needs can come to seek guidance, advice, and receive quality therapy services.

Mission

The Cove Therapy Services LLC (The Cove) provides quality skilled occupational and speech language pathology services to qualifying children and families achieved through licensed, certified, and credentialed professionals. The Cove strives to be a source of evidenced based, clinical information, to empower clients and families to have access to resources to make informed decisions about their care, strategies, and choices.

Vision

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and building community relationships with local schools and universities, The Cove anticipates being an environment of teamwork, communication, mentorship, and education where future professionals can learn and apply evidenced based strategies and techniques along with clinical observation and experiences to become well rounded quality professionals serving a community and population in need.

Our vision is to include parent(s) and/or guardian(s) in the ongoing care and education of supporting their child(ren). In addition to providing medically necessary therapeutic services, parent education and resource dissemination is highly valued so that all those involved in the care of a child are confident and knowledgeable about their choices, decisions, and strategies.

What does an

What our Clients Say

Storie Alfonso Testimonial

Vickie has worked with our twin 3 year old boys for 4 months and is an incredible support for our family. She was unfailingly kind and thoughtful and always made sure she not only answered our questions but also gave us insights and exercises to support our sons in between sessions. Her work with them involved all aspects of their needs, including attention, behavioral, and daily living tasks to name a few. Each session was varied and well-thought out to strengthen the areas that were challenging for them. She worked with them in many areas including gross motor and fine motor skills, as well as motor planning, self regulation, and sensory integration. One twin has improved dramatically and already no longer needs her services, while the other continues to improve with each session. We are so happy to see their improvements and look forward to the day the other twin “graduates” from her care!

Vickie Zamora is the perfect example of an exceptional OT. She has an intuition with my son and a creativity to her practice that I have yet to witness with any other therapist. We call her the MacGyver of all OTs. So many people see our son and already decide what he can or cannot do. They always put limitations on him without even trying to see what he is capable of. Vickie always finds a way around his supposed limitation and helps him soar. She has been the only one to get him to hold a standing position. No one else has been able to accomplish that. Her love for her practice and her patients shows when she is in her element. We will forever be grateful to all she has done for our son and continues to do.
